With 23 years of experience in Women’s Health Medicine, Jamie has built her career around one defining question: what is happening beneath the surface?
As the founder of Medicine & Wellness Within and Rooted in Her Home, Jamie has created a practice centered on Root Cause Medicine, women’s tissue health, and a more comprehensive understanding of cellulite.
Her work grew from seeing the same frustration again and again: women investing in treatment after treatment, while many of the available solutions focused almost entirely on appearance. Jamie wanted to understand something deeper—not simply how cellulite looked, but why the tissue was changing in the first place.
That pursuit led her beyond traditional aesthetics and into the biology of tissue health, including the roles of circulation, lymphatic function, connective tissue integrity, inflammation, metabolic health, hormonal influences, cellular energy, and the body’s natural ability to repair and regenerate.
From that philosophy, Jamie developed Renew XIII, her exclusive non-laser technology, along with the treatment methodology she calls Complete Tissue Reconstruction.
Rather than approaching cellulite as an isolated cosmetic concern, Jamie looks at the woman as a whole and evaluates the biological environment surrounding the tissue. Each treatment plan is individualized based on the patient’s health history, tissue presentation, underlying contributing factors, and personal goals.
Today, Jamie’s work is devoted exclusively to Root Cause Medicine and Renew XIII services, with Complete Tissue Reconstruction at the center of her clinical approach.
Her philosophy is simple: the skin does not exist separately from the rest of the body. What appears on the surface can often reflect deeper changes occurring within the tissue.
Jamie’s mission is to give women an alternative to temporary, surface-level correction by creating a new conversation around cellulite, tissue health, and restoration.
She doesn’t simply ask how to change what you see. She asks why it changed—and what the tissue needs to rebuild.

As the Engineer behind Renew XIII, Shawn has played an essential role in transforming Jamie’s clinical vision into a functioning, purpose-built technology designed specifically to support the Renew XIII Complete Tissue Reconstruction methodology. From the earliest stages of development, Shawn brought the technical leadership, problem-solving ability, and engineering discipline necessary to take a highly specialized clinical concept and move it toward practical execution. Working closely with Jamie throughout the development process, he helped translate her understanding of tissue biology, treatment technique, and the physical requirements of the methodology into the engineering structure needed to bring Renew XIII™ to life.
His contribution extends far beyond simply building a device. Shawn has been instrumental in the design, development, refinement, testing, and continued evolution of the technology, evaluating how each component must function together to support precision, consistency, usability, and the highly specialized way Renew XIII™ is performed. His work requires a careful balance between innovation and practical engineering—taking complex ideas, identifying technical challenges, developing solutions, and continually refining the technology as the treatment methodology advances.
A defining strength of Shawn’s leadership is his ability to understand not only how a technology should function, but why each element matters within the clinical application. That collaboration between engineering and Jamie’s clinical vision has allowed Renew XIII™ to develop as a technology created around the treatment methodology itself, rather than adapting an existing platform to fit a new purpose. Every refinement is approached with intention, with the goal of supporting the precision and consistency required within the Renew XIII™ standard of care.
Shawn also plays an important role in the continued advancement of the technology. As Renew XIII evolves, his engineering expertise helps guide improvements, address new challenges, refine functionality, and ensure the device continues to support the clinical vision behind Complete Tissue Reconstruction. His ability to turn concepts into workable solutions has made him an integral part of the innovation team and an important part of the future development of Renew XIII.

As President and Chief Operating Officer, she oversees the administrative framework that allows the practice to function with consistency, efficiency, and precision. From patient communication and scheduling to team coordination, workflow development, and internal systems, Burlie creates the structure that keeps the practice moving seamlessly behind the scenes.
